Henderson Podiatry is committed to offer our patients treatments utilizing the latest medical developments and technologies. A major example of this is the Multiwave Locked System (MLS) laser treatment for an array of lower extremity injuries and pain. If you are experiencing painful lower extremity symptoms from sprains, strains, or other conditions that cause inflammation, MLS laser therapy might be what you need to treat the soft tissue injury causing you pain, discomfort, or impairing your ability to do your favorite activities.
Since 2011 we have been offering the Genesis Plus laser, which is intended for the treatment of fungal nails and plantar warts. The Genesis Plus laser requires no anesthesia and no "down time". While there are many variables causing fungus toenails (onychomycosis) such as hygiene, shoes, etc., the Genesis Plus laser is one of the most powerful fungus nail lasers on the market and we have an excellent cure rate in our practice.
Dr. Henderson prides herself on a gentle, conservative approach for your foot care needs. She offers a state-of-the-art computer-aided design for custom orthotics utilizing a 3-D scanner. She also uses fiberglass casting to dispense custom-made plastic and leather braces. Both techniques address the conservative approach to foot problems when surgical correction is not an option. Dr. Henderson recently added a Fall Assessment protocol to enable her to diagnose and treat geriatric patients who are at risk for falls.
We offer TENS therapy for painful peripheral neuropathy. This is a portable unit that can be used at home to decrease pain and has shown great promise in the areas of gait imbalance as well.
Dr. Henderson and Dr. Waters attend several podiatric educational seminars each year to explore the latest new technologies, techniques and modalities to offer their patients.
Our treatment of diabetic footcare includes participation in the Medicare Therapuetic Shoe program which provides extra-depth shoes and heat-molded or custom insoles at no charge to qualifying patients. This benefit is available once each calendar year.
We specialize in a non-surgical approach to most podiatric problems including heel pain and carry a wide variety of both custom and semi-custom orthotics. These are either rigid or soft arch supports which help control foot function and provide shock absorption.
